Website policy
Cookies & Similar Technologies
The public site does not use advertising cookies. This policy explains the limited analytics, security, diagnostic, and optional map technologies that are currently used.

1. The short version
Weddings Greece does not intentionally set an application cookie when you ordinarily browse the public directory. Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless, listing analytics use a temporary identifier held in memory rather than browser storage, and Google Maps is not loaded until you choose to load it.
The site does not use advertising, remarketing, or cross-site behavioural-tracking cookies. Security, hosting, and diagnostic providers still process technical requests, and an external service may use its own cookies after you choose to load or visit it.
No consent by continued browsing: We do not treat continued use of the site as consent to optional cookies. If we introduce a technology that requires consent, it should remain off until an appropriate choice is made.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text value saved by a website in your browser. “Similar technologies” includes local or session storage, pixels, SDKs, scripts, device or request identifiers, and embedded third-party content that can store or read information on a device.
Some technologies are strictly necessary to deliver a service or protect it. Others are used for analytics, preferences, or marketing and may require a choice before they are enabled, depending on where you live and how the technology works.
3. Technologies currently used
| Technology | Purpose and data | Storage or duration |
|---|---|---|
| Public-site application cookies | Weddings Greece does not currently set a named application cookie during ordinary public browsing. | None intentionally set by the public application. |
| Vercel Web Analytics | Aggregated page views and selected conversion events. Data can include route or URL, timestamp, referrer, approximate location, operating system, browser, and device type. | No cookie. Vercel creates a request-derived visitor hash that resets after 24 hours; aggregate reporting may be retained separately. |
| Weddings Greece listing analytics | Measures views and actions involving venue and vendor profiles, using listing, source-page, browser, referrer, viewport, and event information. | A random session identifier is held in memory for up to 30 minutes of inactivity. It is not saved in cookies, local storage, or session storage and resets on a full page reload. |
| Vercel BotID and rate limiting | Protects contact, listing-request, and newsletter endpoints from automation and abuse. A browser challenge, request headers, IP-based counters, and detection results may be processed. | Runs for protected form requests. Rate-limit records expire according to the security window and provider configuration. |
| Sentry diagnostics | Reports sampled errors and performance information. On an error, a limited replay may be captured with page text and form inputs masked and form request bodies excluded. | No Weddings Greece application cookie is used for this purpose. Diagnostic retention follows the configured Sentry project settings. |
| Google Maps | Optional embedded location map on some venue and vendor profiles. Loading it sends a request to Google, which may process device, request, and cookie information under its own policies. | Not loaded until you choose “Load Google map”. Any resulting storage is controlled by Google. |
4. Analytics without advertising cookies
Vercel Web Analytics
Vercel states that its Web Analytics product does not use cookies, does not associate analytics data with an IP address, and uses a request-derived visitor hash that resets daily. We use it for aggregate traffic and high-level conversion reporting, not to build advertising profiles.
See Vercel’s Web Analytics privacy and compliance information (opens in a new tab).
Listing interaction analytics
Venue and vendor pages record selected interactions in our Supabase database so the directory can understand how profiles are used and support listing-level reporting. The site creates a temporary random identifier in JavaScript memory to group actions during a short browsing session. It is not written to your device.
Browser privacy tools can block analytics requests. Blocking them should not prevent you from reading public directory pages, although interaction reporting may be incomplete.
5. Optional Google Maps content
Some listing pages offer an embedded Google map. The frame is replaced with a clear notice and a “Load Google map” control by default. Until you choose that control, the browser does not request the embedded map from Google.
If you load the map or follow an “Open in Google Maps” link, Google receives the request and may use cookies or similar technologies according to its own settings and policies. You can use the listing’s written location information without loading the embedded map.
See Google’s Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) and cookie information (opens in a new tab).
6. Your choices
- Do not select “Load Google map” if you do not want to load Google’s embedded content.
- Use browser controls, privacy extensions, or network controls to block third-party requests or storage. Blocking strictly necessary security requests may prevent a form submission.
- Clear cookies and site data through your browser. The current public application does not depend on a preference or account cookie for ordinary browsing.
- Contact us if you observe a Weddings Greece cookie or storage key that is not described here. Include its name, the page, and when it appeared so we can investigate.
7. Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the site begins using a new cookie or similar technology, if a provider’s behaviour materially changes, or if legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest published version.
For more about the information handled through the site, see the Privacy Policy. The Terms of Use explain the boundaries of the public directory.
