Terms of Use

These terms set the boundaries of the Weddings Greece directory and explain the responsibilities that apply when you use the site or submit information.

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to weddingsgreece.com and the services made available through it. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not submit information or continue using the site.

You may browse the public directory without creating an account. If you submit a business request or other information, you confirm that you have legal capacity to do so and, where you act for a business or another person, that you are authorised to act for them.

2. What Weddings Greece provides

  • published directory profiles for venues and wedding professionals;
  • island guides, planning articles, and general research information;
  • links and contact options for communicating directly with listed businesses;
  • forms for corrections, contact, existing-profile claims, and new-listing requests; and
  • an optional email newsletter.

Directory, not a booking service: Weddings Greece does not organise weddings, accept bookings or wedding payments, join contracts between couples and providers, or act as an agent for a listed business.

3. Directory and planning information

Listings are a research starting point

A published profile is not an endorsement, accreditation, guarantee, or promise that a business is available, insured, licensed, suitable, or able to provide a particular service. A “claimed” or similar status only describes the relationship recorded for the profile; it is not a guarantee of service quality.

Listing details may be supplied by the business or drawn from public sources. Prices, inclusions, capacity, ownership, availability, ratings, contact details, and legal requirements can change. Confirm important information directly with the responsible business, authority, embassy, consulate, or qualified adviser before relying on it.

Reviews and third-party information

Source-labelled ratings and reviews remain information from the named third-party platform. Weddings Greece does not combine them into its own rating and does not control the third party’s moderation, availability, or methodology.

No professional advice

Articles, FAQs, directory text, and other site content are general information, not legal, immigration, financial, tax, medical, safety, or professional advice. Rules and costs vary by circumstances and may change without notice.

4. Your dealings with third parties

Enquiries, quotes, negotiations, contracts, deposits, payments, changes, cancellations, disputes, and services are handled directly between you and the relevant third party. Weddings Greece is not a party to those dealings and is not responsible for a third party’s acts, omissions, content, website, privacy practices, or services.

Use independent judgment and appropriate due diligence. This may include checking recent references, written scope and price, cancellation terms, licences, insurance, permits, accessibility, contingency plans, and payment protections.

5. Contact, listing, and claim submissions

When you submit information, you confirm that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, is not misleading, and does not violate another person’s privacy, intellectual-property, confidentiality, or other rights.

  • You must be authorised to request control of, or changes to, an existing business profile.
  • A listing or claim request is subject to review. Submission does not guarantee publication, profile control, account access, ranking, or a response within a fixed period.
  • We may ask for supporting information, correct formatting, decline a request, edit for clarity, or remove content that is inaccurate, unlawful, unsafe, unsupported, or inconsistent with the directory.
  • Do not submit confidential information, identity documents, payment-card details, or sensitive personal information unless we specifically request it through an appropriate channel.

Licence for submitted content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant Weddings Greece a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt for formatting and accessibility, display, and distribute that content only as reasonably needed to operate, promote, and maintain the directory. You confirm that you have the rights needed to grant that licence.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the site for an unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful purpose;
  • submit false claims, impersonate another person, or misrepresent authority;
  • upload malware or try to bypass security, rate limits, or access controls;
  • interfere with the site, its infrastructure, or another person’s use of it;
  • harvest personal information or send spam through information found on the site;
  • scrape or systematically reproduce the directory in a way that unreasonably burdens the service or creates a competing database without written permission; or
  • infringe copyright, trade marks, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights.

We may restrict or block activity reasonably believed to threaten the service, other users, listed businesses, or our legal obligations.

7. Intellectual property

The site design, original text, software, branding, and other original material are owned by Weddings Greece or used with permission. Business names, logos, images, reviews, maps, and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners.

You may browse and share links for personal research. Unless the law permits it or we agree in writing, you may not reproduce, republish, sell, create a competing database from, or remove notices from substantial parts of the site.

To report a rights concern, email us with the page URL, the material involved, the basis of your claim, and a reliable way to contact you.

8. Availability, warranties, and liability

We aim to keep the site useful and available, but it is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free content, preservation of every feature, or that third-party links and services will remain available.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Weddings Greece is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, or loss arising from a provider’s services, a third-party contract, outdated third-party information, or a decision made without independently checking material details. You remain responsible for your contracts, payments, travel, event decisions, and use of third-party services.

Rights that cannot be excluded: Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a consumer guarantee, remedy, or other right that applicable law says cannot be excluded, including rights that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Changes and suspension

We may change, suspend, or discontinue site content or features, and may update these Terms to reflect operational or legal changes. The date at the top identifies the latest published version. If a change materially affects existing users, we may also provide a prominent notice or direct notice where appropriate.

We may remove a submission or restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a Terms breach, security threat, legal requirement, rights complaint, or material accuracy concern. Provisions that by their nature should continue after access ends will survive.

10. Governing law and general terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The courts of New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This choice does not deprive you of a mandatory consumer protection or right available under the law that applies where you live.

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookies & Similar Technologies Policy, form the terms applicable to the public site.
